We have two simple tariffs that have a positive impact. Let us
tell you a little more about them:
In our Pale tariff, we use something called 'combined heat and power' (CHP
to its friends). In a nutshell, power plants give off a lot of heat when they make
electricity. When this heat would otherwise go to waste, green energy uk's suppliers harness
it and put it to good use.
We get CHP from some pretty quirky sources, too. Sign up to Pale and tomatoes and
hot water pipes could help to power your house!
And you can't get greener than our Deep tariff. Using the power of falling water,
the sun, the wind, and organic waste material, we provide energy that is 100% renewable.
Not only is this tariff renewable, but it helps to clean up and make use of waste
products. Some of our generators even use pig poo, skip waste and used chip fat
to make electricity!
And if you needed any more confirmation of our credentials, Ofgem and the Department
of Energy (DECC) have given us the 'green' light. Both Pale and Deep tariffs
are Climate Change Levy exempt, so our energy is 100% good for the planet.
