Generator schemes
Current generation schemes will be replaced 1st April 2010. Feed in Tariffs (FiTs) which are a government initiative will replace our existing small generation schemes. Calculation of rates per kWh are dependent on technology, date of installation and capacity.

Existing generators won't lose out as they will automatically transfer to FiTs but should wait to hear from us about what they need to do next. We don't yet have the final details from Ofgem on how to register for FiT's.
Under FiTs generators will be still be paid for every unit they generate as well as an export payment per unit.
Don't worry if you don't have an export meter you can still receive a payment as that will be estimated.
